Hello, I am Edosa Adams-Idode, a resident in Milton, i am an active community influencer and a lawyer with over 15 years’ of experience in Family and Child Protection Law. I hold a masters degree from York University in Dispute Resolution and i am married with children.
I am running as one of the candidates for Catholic District School board TRUSTEE (ward 2 and 3) for the Town of Milton, Halton.
As a mother of 2 children who are enrolled in the Catholic Board schools, I believe that one of the prerequisites of any meaningful progress is knowledge and a perspective beyond your lived experience.
I serve as an Executive Member of the Canadian Bar Association-CBA (Women’s Law Section – WLF), I also serve on several not-for-profit Boards and will bring to the Catholic Board if elected, empathy, sound judgement and collaborative approach to the challenges faced by families, communities and the Catholic educational system.
My goal is to advocate for policies that will dismantle systematic racism in the school system, policing in our school; more regional choice programs; equitable learning environment for all students and hiring practices.
I am a recipient of many awards including the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pin for my exceptional service and dedication to support the community in Milton.
My slogan and belief is “No child should be left behind” and we must peddle solutions that avoid checking boxes.
